Euchre is a fast-paced, trick-taking card game that’s especially popular in Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of the northern United States. Typically, four players split into two teams and use a deck with only the aces, kings, queens, jacks, tens, and nines. However, there are variations of the game, including versions that add extra cards or accommodate larger groups. Euchre is easy to learn, engaging to play, and full of strategy and camaraderie.
If you enjoy card games, friendly competition, and a welcoming atmosphere, we’d love to have you join us. Branch 641 Barrhaven hosts an open, competitive Euchre night almost every Thursday year-round, with play beginning promptly at 7 p.m. There is a $5.00 entry fee, which goes towards the evening’s prize money.
Come out, take a seat at the table, and enjoy an evening of cards, conversation, and community—whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game. Members and non-members are welcome!
