Across Canada, branches are proud to support Legion seniors through a wide range of programs and services designed to enhance quality of life. Many branches offer seniors’ initiatives and provide support in key areas such as health care, home care, and housing.
Nationally, the Legion advocates for seniors’ rights and well-being. We also work with organizations like Alzheimer’s Canada to improve care in our communities.
Each year, the Legion donates about $2 million and volunteers more than 447,000 hours to help thousands of seniors across Canada. This support helps ensure Legion seniors receive the respect, care, and connection they deserve.
At Branch 641 Barrhaven, the Legion Seniors Officer serves as part of the Branch Executive team.
We also support Veterans and their families. We help with disability claims through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and offer programs, resources, and referrals to support health, financial stability, and the move to civilian life. Learn how to access support for Veterans.
