Cribbage

Join us at Branch 641 Barrhaven on some Tuesdays at 12 p.m. (please check the calendar) for a fun, drop-in Cribbage afternoon. Everyone is welcome, even if you’re not a member!

Cribbage, sometimes called “crib,” is a classic card game usually played by two people, but you can also play with three or four. It uses a regular 52-card deck and a special wooden board with pegs for scoring. The goal is to be the first to reach 121 points by making certain card combinations during the game.

People enjoy Cribbage because it mixes luck, strategy, and quick math. It’s easy to pick up but offers a real challenge as you get better. The game’s scoring and pace make it a favourite at home, in clubs, and in tournaments, especially in Canada and the UK.
