Remembrance

We honour and thank our Veterans by remembering their sacrifices, standing by the words, “We Will Remember Them.”

We remember Canadian Veterans from all conflicts, as well as those who have made sacrifices on the home front. Our mission is to ensure Canada never forgets the sacrifices of our Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, Peace Officers, Merchant Navy, and Reserves. We also remember our military families—the parents and children of Canadian Veterans.

Poppy Campaign

As November 11 approaches, Poppies appear all across Canada. This show of support is possible thanks to thousands of Legionnaires who volunteer to distribute Poppies in schools, community groups, and local businesses.

Youth Remembrance Contests

Every year, the Legion National Foundation, The Royal Canadian Legion, and schools across Canada invite young people to honour Veterans and keep Remembrance traditions alive through art, writing, public speaking, and video.

Memorial Bricks

Buying a Memorial Brick at Branch 641 is another meaningful way to honour a family member or friend.

Canadians are fiercely proud of our Veterans. We have long worn the Poppy as a visual pledge to ‘never forget’. Canadians want to show their pride and support year-round, and The Royal Canadian Legion’s The Poppy Store provides Canadians with that opportunity.
