For the past five years Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven has played a leading role with four of our members, to raise 87,000 pairs of socks for the homeless.

It has been a truly compassionate effort that is quite close to our hearts.

As a veteran, I can’t count the number of times that I had cold feet while on deployment or standing guard on exercise.  It makes a world of difference to your well-being when your feet are warm and allows you to better concentrate on the task at hand.

As we pass on our labours to Toasty Toes Ottawa, we wish them every success. Please donate generously by clicking on their logo on this page. Thank you.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven
Donates $10,000 to Roger’s House

Members of Branch 641 had the privilege of receiving a guided tour of Roger’s House on Monday, February 1, 2016, by Marion Rattray, Manager of CHEO Palliative Care Program.

The tour gave us an appreciation how our donation is helping the families that use Roger’s House.

The Barrhaven Community Cenotaph Project is a joint community initiative led by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 641 Barrhaven, to honour those who have served, through the creation of a memorial park and cenotaph.

This memorial park will be built on land adjacent to the
John McCrae Secondary School on Malvern Drive in Barrhaven. The park will provide an area for remembrance and reflection. As well, it will provide a location for Remembrance Day ceremonies.

The fundraising goal to build this memorial park and cenotaph is $350,000. Funds will be raised from members of the Barrhaven community, businesses and service groups.

Your support is appreciated.
